babis example4aWe are proud to announce that Prof. Charalampos (Babis) Kalodimos has won the 2011 Michael and Kate Bárány Award for Young Investigators by the Biophysical Society.

Babis received the award for his work using NMR spectroscopy, combined with other biophysical methodologies, to determine the mechanisms underlying the functionality of large protein machineries.

Last year Babis was also awarded the top Young Investigator honors from the Protein Society. He is the first person ever to win both awards.
